In Ambrose Bierce's Devil's Dictionary, a Christian is defined thus: "Christian, n. One who follows the teachings of Christ insofar as they are not inconsistent with a life of sin."

It is the kind of thought that agnostics delight in dredging up when a man of the cloth, such as the Rev. Jesse Jackson, is so publicly caught with his pants, quite literally, down.
