THIS IS THE SECOND TIME that I have stood before the gathered forces of JASNA in all your terrifying array, and it doesn't get easier, particularly since I have more to say about Jane Austen's world than I have about Jane Austen.
I have been doing research on two men that the 1790s regarded as scoundrels, and the opinion of the 1790s tells us more about the times than the writers. Since the 1790s and the following two decades are Jane Austen's times, I decided to inquire if the treatment of my two writers tells us something about Jane Austen and her ideological inclinations.
