A literary enthusiast has won a Jane Austen-theme romantic weekend in Bath after writing a story in the style of the novelist.

Aspiring author Mimi Hall, who works in advertising and lives in Bristol, won the national Jane Austen writing competition organised by Borders bookstores.

The 28-year-old and her partner will be spending the weekend after next in Bath after her 1,000-word piece was chosen by the judges.

Her piece, called Love and Lattes, has been put on the city's Jane Austen Centre's website - www.janeausten.co.uk.
