MOSCOW Directors of the estate where Leo Tolstoy lived and wrote are using state money to finance private businesses there, including a hotel for "intimate encounters," Tolstoy family members charged.
The managers of the grounds, one of the rare pre-revolutionary noble estates still intact, are creating firms, including a publisher of erotic literature using the Tolstoy name, for their own gain, they said.
"Their aim is to make a personal profit," Pyotr Tolstoy, a great-great-grandson of the famous Russian author, told reporters.
