Tracy field may receive new name

TRACY -- For more than half a century, the name Peter B. Kyne has been associated with the football stadium at Tracy High School.

That could change.

The committee charged with screening and recommending names for Tracy Unified School District sites to the school board has targeted the Tracy High Stadium as one of five such facilities due for an official name.

School Board President James Vaughn warned not to read too much into the announcement.
