No, the O. Henry Festival is not about candy bars.

The O. Henry Festival was begun in 1985 by a group of Greensboro residents to honor our most famous literary figure: William Sydney Porter (1862-1910), better known as O. Henry. While schoolchildren still read his short stories, some may not know of his Greensboro heritage, early education and life experiences that inspired his fiction.
