A plaque honoring author Stephen Crane was dedicated Saturday at a former fraternity near Syracuse University.

Crane, the author of "Red Badge of Courage" and other works, was a student at SU for the 1890-91 school year.

The plaque is installed on the Marshall Street side of the former Delta Upsilon Fraternity, 426 Ostrom Ave., said Knowlton Foote, Delta Upsilon Society of Syracuse chapter president. SU uses the building for offices.
