SALEM (AP) — Paul Graham Trueblood, an internationally recognized authority on the poet Lord Byron and an English literature professor at Willamette University, has died. He was 92.
Trueblood wrote three books on the life and works of Lord George Gordon Byron, whose writings reflect the Romantic period of English literature. Byron lived from 1788 to 1824.
The professor developed his interest in Romantics while attending Willamette University in the 1920s. Later, he returned to Willamette to teach and serve as chairman of its English department.
