One of the greatest philosophers of all time was Aristotle of ancient
Greece. He was the student of another great philosopher, Plato. Aristotle
joined Plato's school in Athens when he was 18. He stayed there until
Plato died, 20 years later.
Aristotle became well known as a philosopher during those years. In 342 b.c., King Philip of Macedonia called Aristotle to teach his son, Alexander, who would later be called Alexander the Great.
